The services of Porter, a well-known logistics provider, have been expanded to Kanpur, continuing the company’s growth in Tier-II and Tier-III markets. Through its wide selection of vehicles, the firm hopes to allow effective and smooth commodities delivery.

A vital transit hub for goods and resources, Kanpur is strategically located at the intersection of several important highways and railways. Additionally, Porter’s presence into the city is a strategic move to improve logistical connections and draw additional capital investments due to its closeness to the future Delhi-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (DKI) and the Uttar Pradesh Motorway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) nodes.

Porter plans to hire more than 600 driving partners to oversee Kanpur’s intracity logistics services. By the conclusion of the first operating year, it is estimated that this number would surpass 3,000, creating direct and indirect employment for nearly 12,000 people and aiming for a client base of 20,000 people in the first year.

Porter now has a presence in 20 locations across India after its expansion to Kanpur. Within the next two years, the firm wants to increase its footprint in 35 locations, focusing on Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
