Giridharan Srinivasan has been hired by Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics division of Etihad Airways, to serve as the area general manager for the Indian subcontinent. Srinivasan will be based in Bangalore and report directly to Latha Narayan, Director of East Cargo Commercial for APAC, Australasia, and the Indian Subcontinent at Etihad Cargo. He will be in charge of forging new connections with Etihad Cargo’s clients headquartered in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and the surrounding area as well as strengthening already-existing ones.

Giridharan Srinivasan joins Etihad Cargo with over 17 years of logistics experience, five of which have been within the aviation sector. During his career, he has held leadership positions spanning sales, business development, client relationship management and operations. Srinivasan has also demonstrated leadership skills that have nurtured and retained talent within growing teams, enabling organisations to deliver service excellence through a customer-centric approach.

Recent schedule changes by Etihad Cargo include the inclusion of two new routes in the Indian Subcontinent area as well as increased frequency at already-established stops. The airline will operate seven flights per week to each of the additional passenger destinations of Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram, increasing the capacity of the belly hold for cargo. Additional belly hold space will be made available by Etihad Cargo on new passenger flights to Chennai, Kochi, the Maldives, Columbo, and Islamabad.
