Effective October 1, 2023, Qatar Airways Cargo has started operating freighters to Warsaw, Poland.

Qatar Airways Cargo offers 100 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity on its dedicated freighter, each way, and flies once per week to the Polish capital.

The airline now operates ten passenger trips per week to the sole station in Poland, Warsaw. The overall weekly cargo capacity will rise to more than 200 tonnes with the advent of a dedicated freighter service from Warsaw. Businesses in Poland now have direct main deck freighter capacity for their imports and exports thanks to the introduction of freighters. Perishable goods and general cargo make up the bulk of imports and exports.

Elisabeth Oudkerk, SVP Cargo Sales and Network Planning said, “Qatar Airways Cargo has been serving Eastern Europe for many years and is very pleased to announce freighters to Warsaw which will complement the passenger flights to this important city. The launch of this service will provide consistent and reliable freighter operations between Poland and Qatar”.

With 7 current destinations in the area, Qatar Airways Cargo has a sizable presence in Eastern Europe and provides both passenger and cargo flights. Qatar Airways Cargo offers substantial cargo capacity to and from Warsaw, as well as Budapest, Prague, Bucharest, Zagreb, Belgrade, and Sofia.

The management of Qatar Airways Cargo, representatives from the Warsaw airport, and customers gathered for a customer welcome ceremony to commemorate the arrival of the freighter.
