Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) World Conclave 2026: Samir Kumar Sinha Highlights India’s Air Cargo Growth Roadmap
Addressing the 7th Edition of ACFI World Conclave 2026, Samir Kumar Sinha, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India outlined the strategic direction for India’s aviation and air cargo sector and emphasised the government’s focus on building a globally competitive cargo ecosystem.
Sinha referred to the industry’s vision of scaling India’s air cargo throughput to 10 million metric tonnes per annum by 2030, supported by expanding airport infrastructure, multimodal connectivity, digital processes, and policy reforms. He highlighted the growing importance of high-value and time-sensitive commodities such as pharmaceuticals, perishables, electronics, engineering goods, and e-commerce cargo in driving the next phase of cargo growth.
He also underlined the need for an integrated ecosystem involving airports, airlines, cargo terminal operators, customs, logistics providers, and technology platforms to improve efficiency, reduce dwell time, and strengthen India’s position in global trade corridors.
Concluding his address, Sinha reaffirmed the continued support of the Ministry of Civil Aviation in advancing infrastructure development, improving cargo efficiency, strengthening connectivity, and enabling the sector’s long-term growth and global competitiveness.
