The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has hosted a delegation from Vietnam to promote bilateral cooperation in the infrastructure and the logistics sector.

Around 80 participants, including Vietnamese delegates from various logistics and supply chain companies and associations had a fruitful discussion, highlighting their plans for investment in India and expansion plans with the cooperation of Government of India. The primary focus of the meeting was to identify areas of mutual collaboration and investment opportunities across various NICDC industrial parks, direct shipping and warehousing, etc. sectors in the country.

The welcome address by Sumita Dawra, Special Secretary (Logistics) – DPIIT was followed by a keynote address by Som Prakash, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry.

Vipin Vohra, Chairman-Continental Carriers Pvt Ltd was nominated by Logistics Committee – FICCI to be the part of the Indian delegation at the said meeting. He showcased the profile of Continental Carriers Group and India’s first Air Freight Station, established by Continental Carriers as the major achievement of Indian Logistics sector in recent times.

The Vietnam delegation appreciated the establishment of India’s first Greenfield Air freight Station at Delhi, which has put Indian Logistics sector on Global map with this achievement.
