The Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), set up by Ministry of Commerce and Industry,
Govt of India has nominated Mr. Vipin Vohra, Chairman, Continental Carriers Pvt. Ltd.
(CCPL), as its Vice-Chairperson.
The Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) is a key industry body working towards
promoting India’s services exports and facilitating greater engagement between service-
sector stakeholders and the Government. The Council provides a platform for addressing
industry concerns and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s position in the
global services market.
The nomination marks an important recognition of Mr. Vipin Vohra’s longstanding
association with the logistics, freight forwarding and customs brokerage sectors and his
contribution to the growth and development of India’s services industry.
As Vice-Chairperson of SEPC, Mr. Vipin Vohra will work closely with the Council and industry
stakeholders and other trade forums in identifying and taking up key issues and challenges
affecting services exports with the concerned Ministries and Government authorities. His
focus will also be on facilitating greater industry–Government engagement and
strengthening the collective voice of service-sector stakeholders.
Mr. Vipin Vohra also plans to engage with various trade forums and associations to seek their
inputs on issues concerning their respective sectors. These inputs will help in identifying
priority matters that can be taken up with the concerned authorities for consideration and
resolution.
The new responsibility is expected to further strengthen the industry’s participation in
discussions concerning trade facilitation, logistics, customs, freight forwarding and other
services-export-related matters, while contributing to India’s objective of expanding its
services exports.
