“A – ACAAI; A – Air Cargo; A – Artificial Intelligence” – this is all about the 47th ACAAI Convention which has begun today in the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, at the Westin Hotel, from 23rd November to 25th November, 2023.
The inaugural session commenced on high note with lighting the lamp by the Guest of Honour Mr Mark Jason Thomas, CEO, MAS KARGO; Mr Kartik Sharma, Expert & Author Of Book on AI; ACAAI President Mr C K Govil; Vice President Mr Samir J Shah, Hon Secretary General Mr Vikram Kumar; Hon. Treasurer Mr Praveen Menon; Convention Chairman Mr Anil Vazirani.
After lighting the lamp, the inaugural session was simply enlightening due to touch upon the subject of Artificial Intelligence. ACAAI President Govil delivered his speech, highlighting the new era, the most deserving change in the industry – Artificial Intelligence. He highlighted the growth of the industry, potential of technological advancements
Mark Jason Thomas, CEO, MAS KARGO threw light on the use of Artificial Intelligence in the air cargo domain, giving examples of the usage of AI at Malaysian airlines cargo operations. He talked about how they use AI in their 70,000 sq km warehouse.
“The usage of AI will strengthen the cargo process, enhance the supply chain operational system, build up ground handling operations and lead to on-time performance,” he said.
And last but not the least, Kartik Sharma, who is an expert and author of Book on AI, enlightened the audience with the benefits of AI usage in businesses. “I really want Air Cargo Fraternity to know about AI and use it.” He explained the differences between Automation and AI. He talked about digital twins and what not.
Post the addresses, ACAAI Souvenir was launched, followed by Vote of Thanks presented by the Vice President Samir J Shah.
On this note, it is a good start to the convention. Looking forward to more in-depth discussions in the next two days.
