Two all-cargo air routes were launched on 7th December between Xi’an, an ancient Chinese capital known for the Terracotta Warriors, and India’s Chennai and Mumbai. Both services are operated twice a week by Sichuan Airlines using an Airbus A330-200F aircraft, with a maximum cargo capacity of 65 tonnes.”Earlier, goods imported from India had to be transshipped from other cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Incheon in the Republic of Korea or Thailand’s Bangkok. The opening of the new routes will significantly improve efficiency and lower costs,” said Chen Yuhuan, head of the Xi’an Branch of Shenzhen Andashun International Logistics.
