DP World has appointed Peter Dyeremose as senior director of airfreight for the Americas, aiming to expand its airfreight and freight forwarding services across the region. Dyeremose brings over 25 years of expertise in logistics and airfreight, having most recently served at Mainfreight Inc., where he managed airfreight operations and global agent partnerships throughout the Americas. His career also includes leadership roles at DSV US HQ, where he drove growth in the U.S. airfreight sector and launched the cruise vertical, as well as at Kuehne + Nagel, supporting both the cruise and pharma sectors.
In addition to Dyeremose, DP World has hired Philip Blumenthal as senior director of ocean freight. Terry Donohoe, senior vice president of freight forwarding for the Americas at DP World, expressed enthusiasm for their arrival: “We are pleased to welcome both Philip and Peter, whose extensive expertise and leadership will be pivotal in expanding our ocean and air freight capabilities. Their innovative approach will help DP World scale its freight operations, streamline processes, and deliver enhanced supply chain solutions to our customers.”
These strategic hires come as DP World accelerates investments in its freight forwarding services to offer more integrated, efficient end-to-end logistics solutions. Since mid-2023, DP World has opened over 150 new freight forwarding offices worldwide, including 20 across the Americas, with the latest in Panama City. In May, the company also launched airfreight operations at its air cargo logistics hub in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
