Logistics and cargo have traditionally been male-dominated industry; there are biases that women aren’t suited for roles in operations, trucking, or leadership. In addition, people perceive women cannot manage long work hours, frequent travel, and demanding schedules can make it difficult to balance personal and professional life.
For me it’s been a combination of these challenges but having experienced & encouraging mentors, a robust network and strong support system at home helped me. Continuous learning, taking up challenges, building strong connections is the key to successful performance.
