FFFAI has launched the e-learning platform for freight forwarding & logistics service providers through its training arm Indian Institute of Freight Forwarders (IIFF), in collaboration with 21CC Education, an online content provider. IIFF and 21CC Education have come together to create a comprehensive digital learning and skill development programme which will benefit the customs brokers, freight forwarding professionals /logistics service providers.
To elaborate on the e-learning module for the benefit of the industry fraternity on July 19, 2023 FFFAI organized an enlightening webinar on the Digital Skilling Programme. The webinar was addressed by FFFAI Chairman Shankar Shinde, Chairman Elect Dushyant Mulani, Vice Chairman Amit Kamat, Hon. Treasurer Sudhir Agarwal, IIFF President Tej Contractor, IIFF Hon. Secretary Nirav Thakker and 21 CC Sales Director and CEO Sanjay Tiwari.
The webinar included a detailed presentation and demo of the program, covering specific topics and duration. The impressive turnout of members and logistics professionals, reflecting their enthusiasm for growth and industry knowledge.
In his welcome address Shankar Shinde highlighted that skill development is one of the eight key action areas in the recently announced National Logistics Policy and FFFAI, through its training arm IIFF, has taken the initiative to create a learning programme that can help to upskill the more than 50000 employees in logistics industry across India and skill graduates from colleges as prospective entrants into the industry. In view of the huge growth opportunity and requirements of skilled human resources he emphasised on the importance of skill development initiatives and e-learning modules in this digital era which offers easy and tailor-made specialised interested training courses. “There is a huge gap between demand and supply of skilled human resources in the logistics sector, which needs to be fulfilled by creating a talent pool. In this regard, ‘ease of learning will play a vital role’ through e-learning mechanisms as in today’s business ecosystem and busy schedules people can be trained conveniently” the FFFAI Chairman pointed out. He appealed to the industry stakeholders to avail this opportunity in large numbers for the greater interest of the logistics sector.
Endorsing Shinde, Dushyant Mulani highlighted that FFFAI and IIFF is taking the skill development initiatives including digital platform to a new high for the benefit of the exim trade in the country.
