To create Gati Enterprise Management System (GEMS) 2.0, Tech Mahindra, a top provider of digital transformation, consulting, and business re-engineering services and solutions, partnered with Gati Limited, an Allcargo Group company and one of India’s leading express logistics and supply chain solutions providers. The key operational software system for Gati, GEMS 2.0, seeks to provide a better client experience and a more technologically advanced user interface while boosting productivity and cutting expenses.
The cloud-native, future-proof software solution makes use of Tech Mahindra’s expertise and reiterates the company’s commitment to and investment in next-generation digital transformation and Cloud efforts. In order to achieve operational excellence and the highest standard of customer experience, the cooperation is focused on replacing Gati’s outdated application with a digital, scalable, and more agile cloud-based application.

Tech Mahindra will enable Gati, over the next 18-24 months, to custom develop GEMS 2.0 from scratch, covering the entire first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile operations. The software will be developed in modules like Pickup, Delivery, En-route, Customer Contracts, Invoicing, etc.

GEMS 2.0’s architecture will be micro-services-based and event-driven using rule engines, with a cloud-based infrastructure built and developed with a mobile and security-first architectural approach targeted at delivering consistent performance throughout the company’s geographic activities. GEMS 2.0 will use automation at many levels and will heavily rely on data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). GEMS 2.0 will also provide on-demand customization and a multi-browser friendly user experience, leveraging the power of the intuitive and consistent UI/UX design.
