GMR Hyderabad air cargo terminal is one of the preferred gateway for pharmaceutical logistics across India and abroad. A major highlight of the Hyderabad Airport Cargo facility is the unique ‘Pharma Zone’. GHAC has inducted a large multi-ULD Cool Dolly, which makes it one of India’s largest centres for the handling of temperature- sensitive cargo up to -20 degree C. The terminal also offers one of India’s largest fleets of modern temp-controlled Cool Containers viz. Cool Dolly, Envirotainer, VaQtec to name a few.
Manufacturers of pharmaceutical products are subject to the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Maintaining manufacturer quality across the entire supply chain is crucial for temperature sensitive products like pharmaceuticals. Even a minor variation in temperature and humidity can have significant impact on the efficacy and shelf life of the medicines. Additionally, safeguarding the pharma cargo from theft and the infiltration of counterfeit drugs is essential. A GDP compliance audit allows for a comprehensive evaluation of all necessary requirements and measures within the distribution chain, thereby ensuring the quality and authencity of pharmaceutical products. With the GDP certification and ISSAGO accreditation, GHAC is poised to make a significant impact on the cargo industry in India.
