Søren Skou has headed Maersk’s transformation from a diversified conglomerate to an integrated logistics firm, putting the company on a new growth trajectory since 2016. Vincent Clerc, who is the current CEO of the company’s Ocean and Logistics business, will be succeeding as CEO of Maersk effective 1^st January, 2023.

“Soren has contributed to our group’s development over almost 40 years, of which 11 as CEO for Maersk Tankers, 4 as CEO for Maersk Line and close to 7 years as CEO of Maersk. During his tenure as the CEO of Maersk, Soren has been instrumental in redefining Maersk into a customer centric end-to-end logistics provider with a global leadership position in sustainable transportation solutions.
