Vietnam is prioritizing the development of its logistics industry, aiming to mobilize all resources for growth. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh announced the government’s strategy for Vietnam’s logistics services from 2025 to 2035, extending to 2045. Key initiatives include establishing a National Steering Committee on Logistics Services to oversee strategic infrastructure development and workforce training.

The government plans to collaborate closely with both domestic and international partners to foster economic, investment, trade, and service cooperation, with a specific focus on optimizing logistics services for mutual benefits and risk-sharing. PM Chinh also appealed to FIATA for support in human resources training, highlighting Vietnam’s logistics sector’s impressive annual growth rate of 14-16%.

This growth has significantly contributed to Vietnam’s total export-import turnover, nearing $700 billion in 2023, with the first half of the year witnessing a trade value increase of 15.7% year-on-year.
