How has your shared passion for the logistics industry influenced your decision to work together?
Vipin Vohra : As Father’s Day approaches, I find myself reflecting on the remarkable journey I have embarked upon in the world of logistics with my sons Vaibhav and Viraj. Cargo and logistics have been an integral part of our family’s legacy, with roots stretching back three generations. It was my father, Late Shri T N Vohra jee who laid the foundation of Continental Carriers group in 1957. As a Chairman of Continental Carriers Group, I have nurtured and expanded the business over the years, on the foundation, strongly laid down by my father, instilling a deep appreciation for the intricacies and challenges of this dynamic field in my sons. Our shared passion for the logistics industry, inherited from my father, Late Shri T N Vohra, has served as a powerful bond, fostering trust, open communication, and a collective drive to excel. The dynamics of our family business, taught to us by my father, to navigate challenges together, leveraging each other’s strengths and expertise. By working as a team, we have built a solid foundation based on mutual respect and a shared vision for the future. Moreover, our collaboration transcends the confines of the workplace. We often find ourselves engaged in lively discussions about emerging trends, technological advancements, and strategies to enhance our customers’ experience.
Vaibhav Vohra : The logistics industry has been an enduring fascination. My exposure to the family business from an early age ignited a passion within me to explore the endless possibilities and ever-evolving nature of global trade. Working side by side with my grandfather and father, I have not only imbibed invaluable business acumen but also gained a profound understanding of the industry’s nuances.
Viraj Vohra : My journey into the logistics world has been an organic extension of the family’s commitment to this field. From observing the tireless efforts and dedication of my grandfather, father and elder brother, Vaibhav, I developed a keen interest in logistics and its role in connecting businesses and people worldwide. This shared enthusiasm has motivated me to contribute this unique perspective to the company’s operations, allowing us to continually adapt and innovate.
What are some of the unique challenges and opportunities you’ve encountered while working in the logistics sector as a father and son team.
Vipin Vohra : First and foremost, one of the significant challenges, I faced, after the demise of my father in 2005, was balancing the roles of being family head and business partner with my sons. Working closely as a father and son team requires open communication, mutual respect, and a clear understanding of each other’s strengths and limitations. I have to establish a professional work environment while still nurturing our familial bond and fill the void left by my father. This delicate balance took time and effort to achieve, but it has proven to be the foundation of our success.
Vaibhav and Viraj Vohra :
We encountered a pressure to live up to the legacy and reputation of our family business. Being the third generation in a long-standing logistics company brought with it high expectations and the need to maintain the trust of our clients and employees, created and nurtured through the years by our grandfather and father. We had to earn their respect not only as individuals but also as leaders who can steer the company towards continued growth and success. This challenge motivated us to constantly innovate, adapt to changing market trends, and enhance the quality of our services.
On the flip side, working as a father and son team in the logistics sector has also presented us with unique opportunities. The deep-rooted trust and understanding, inculcated in us by our grandfather and father, which we share as a family, have allowed us to make quick decisions, take calculated risks, and seize market opportunities. This synergy has given us a competitive edge and the ability to build lasting relationships with our clients, suppliers, and partners.

My 45 years of experience in the industry, provides valuable guidance and strategic direction to the company. I am responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the seamless execution of our logistics solutions.
