The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance air-sea connectivity and ensure a seamless flow of goods across the kingdom.
ENHANCED COLLABORATION
Under the agreement, the three government entities will collaborate to enhance the nation’s logistics and customs services, bolster foreign trade growth, and drive economic development by integrating freight operations at air and sea terminals.
Furthermore, they will leverage the kingdom’s strategic geographical position to simulate cargo transportation scenarios to address challenges hindering efficient service delivery.
The MoU aims to boost collaboration and coordination between the public sector entities. Through a unified framework, they will facilitate knowledge and resource sharing, align their objectives, and synergise efforts, to transform Saudi Arabia into a prominent global logistics hub in alignment with the Vision 2030 programme objectives.
