Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) is set to implement a Digital Twin platform to create a real-time digital replica of its assets, infrastructure and operations.

JNPA has awarded a ₹92.95 crore work order to Softtech Engineers Limited for the project, which aims to enhance operational monitoring, predictive maintenance and data-driven decision-making.

The core functionalities are targeted for implementation by February 2027, with the complete platform expected to become operational by February 2028.

The Digital Twin will support:
Real-time monitoring of port operations
Vessel traffic and cargo flow management
Predictive maintenance of critical infrastructure
Reduction of vehicular congestion
Enhanced safety, surveillance and incident management
Environmental monitoring of air and water quality
Integrated dashboards and predictive analytics
Automated compliance and regulatory reporting

The initiative is expected to strengthen JNPA’s operational efficiency, asset utilisation, safety and environmental sustainability while supporting more informed decision-making across the port ecosystem.
