DP World has earned the prestigious Authorised Economic Operator-Logistics Operator (AEO-LO) certification from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). This certification, aligned with the World Customs Organisation (WCO) SAFE Framework of Standards, represents one of the highest security standards in the global supply chain.
In today’s volatile global trade environment, the AEO-LO certification bolsters DP World’s reputation as a secure and reliable logistics provider with expertise in efficient cross-border trade. The certification ensures streamlined clearance procedures at all customs stations across India for five years, underscoring DP World’s dedication to enhancing global supply chain security.
The certification was presented by Rajesh Pandey, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone-II, Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House (JNCH), to Akash Agrawal, Vice-President of Freight Forwarding for the India subcontinent at DP World.
By adhering to AEO-LO’s stringent standards, DP World guarantees secure multi-channel and multi-region cargo movement for its customers. The certification also provides benefits under the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with countries such as South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
With the AEO-LO certification, DP World gains access to Direct Port Delivery (DPD) for import containers and Direct Port Entry (DPE) for export containers, reducing turnaround time and facilitating faster customs clearance.
This certification is particularly advantageous for export-import business activities, including freight forwarding and operations in Free Trade Warehousing Zones (FTWZs), offering faster cargo processing, deferred duty payments, and benefits under MRAs.
